Dean's Message to the New Students of Our Faculty... 

Dear Students who have just joined the Family of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, ASBU, 

First of all, I cordially congratulate each and every one of you all for your success. I know that your families and teachers feel the justified pride of this success of yours along with you. Welcome to the Social Sciences University of Ankara, which is based in Ulus, the historic site of Ankara the Capital, is specialised in social sciences, possesses a genuine quality in both education and research beyond the general understanding of education in our country, and which aims to produce knowledge that will contribute to the problems of Turkey and the world with original solutions and to train the intellectuals, rather than occupational specialists, of a discipline.

 You are taking the first steps on the most significant path of your education life. In this important process, we take it as our basic duty to enable you to acquire academic skills as well as to provide you with personal, cultural and social development opportunities. In realising this aim, we, as the Faculty of Foreign Languages, do and will always stand by you.

 We will do our best and hardest for you to raise as individuals who are self-confident, responsible for their country and nation, possess national and moral values as well as a mind-set which is based in reason, is competent and innovative in disciplines in both national and international scales, and is interrogative and independent.  

 I thank you all for choosing to become a member of the Faculty of Foreign Languages of the Social Sciences University of Ankara; and I wish you all success in your studies here.
